Another one of Don’s recipes that I had to try. His recipes never disappoint. This is quite different. Like Shepard’s Pie with the mashed potatoes on top. The filling tastes like seafood chowder. So yummy with leeks and dill. Two of my favorite ingredients. I omitted the lemon juice. DH and I are not keen when it comes to adding lemon juice to most foods. It was pretty soupy even though I let it stand 15 minutes before serving. However, by the time I cleaned up and put away the leftovers, it had cooled down and set up firm. A hearty comfort food for sure!

How neat, a shepherd's pie but with seafood! I'm not a fan of seafood but I can see how warm and comforting that meal would be. :)
