Sicilian Pork

This was good, I served it with spaghetti as I thought it needed something to go with it.
I used San Marzano diced tomatoes, it’s what I had. I added rosemary and basil to this as I did not have the seasoning called for. I thought cinnamon?but you can’t taste it so if left out I don’t think it would matter. A quick easy meal.

The kids are doing fine so far, thanks Manella! *knock on wood* it stays that way. :)

Bakerme, the first time I made a Greek meat sauce for pasta (Makaronia Me Kima) the eyes rolled in the back of our heads because it was soooo delicious! The little bit of cinnamon and dried mint mixed with other herbs is a heavenly combo! My favorite pizza place puts cinnamon and cloves in their sauce, again, it's the best ever! You wouldn't even know that it's in there, but you'd sure miss it if was gone! ;)

Interesting, Cosmicmom. I know what you mean, though, abut not really tasting an ingredient, but missing it if it's not there.

Looks delicious Manella!! I've had cinnamon in certain savory dishes as well and it's one of things where you taste it and you can't put your finger on what that flavor is, but it works!

So glad the kiddos are making it through this flu season Shona, mine have also (knock on wood!), even though all of their friends have been getting sick :( Hope they stay well!

I'm glad your kids are doing well too Michelle! The Flu has been quite bad here this year, and all over the West from here down to California.

Great photo Manella! I wouldn't think of cinnamon in a tomato sauce either. I do like the seasonings you chose. Seems basil is a good season/herb to go with tomatoes.
