    Sloppy Joe Barbecue Beef

I had a taste for beef and barbecue and thought to myself why not saute ground beef with onions and bbq sauce … then found a recipe for just that.
It was easy and really hit the spot. The key is using a bbq sauce you love. I love Stubb's brand, the 'Sweet Heat' is my favorite. I found that 1/2 cup of bbq sauce was plenty enough. A full cup and it would have been bbq sauce with beef instead of beef with bbq sauce.

Awesome photo Linda, it looks delicious!! Yum, I wish I could take a bite right now!
I love the old recipe she posted on her photo, I wonder what the Open Pit BBQ sauce tastes like!? Good call to reduce the sauce amount, one could always add more sauce to the bun if needed. :)

I too love that she posted the clipping of the original recipe and agree that you can always add more sauce if needed but 1/2 cup really was plenty. It was still saucey but not drowning.
I like Stubb's because of the ingredients. Open Pit notes their 1st ingredient to be High Fructose Corn Syrup … no thanks. If I wasn't so lazy I'd make my own bbq sauce but since I really don't use it that much Stubb's will do. LOL!

Gorgeous photo, LindaLMT! The Sloppy Joe looks like it's going to jump right off the screen. Great find! I like simple and easy recipes, especially when it satisfies a craving for something that takes a long time to make. I'm trying to think if I've tried Stubbs. I'll have to check it out. I can't have high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners.

Definitely bookmarking this, easy and something my family would like. Stubb's is really good, I also like Salt Lick BBQ sauce. Organicville is my favorite "healthy ingredient" brand :). Great photo Linda! Those buns look amazing!

Thanks DIZ and Michelle. I'll have to look for the brands you mentioned Michelle.
