Sour Cream Apple Pie by ChefMeow

Delicious! This is one of those pies that tastes so much better cold from the fridge. Not something I recommend eating warm with ice cream. The apple and cinnamon flavor really improves the next day, and it allows the custard to set up properly.
The filling is so creamy and not too sweet either. You really don't need anything with it, but a dollop of whip cream is nice :)
My experience with pie baking is that 350f is not hot enough. I prefer to cook it at 400f for half the time, and 375f for the remainder. This insures no soggy crust, and gives the topping a chance to crisp up. I notice a lot of older recipes use the 350f method, perhaps newer ovens are different now.
I look forward to making this again! :)

Oh my gosh, that's one gorgeous looking piece of pie, Cosmicmom! I've been slowly working my way through Chefmeow's recipes, but she has so many that it will take me forever!

I wish I could share my apples with everyone or bake you all a pie. I could make 20 more pies with all the apples I have! :D
