Southern Fried Chicken

    Made for the Chicken challenge August, 2020.

    I used chicken legs it’s what I had out. For the buttermilk i used Natrel lactose free milk
    and added lemon juice to sour it.I added some chopped rosemary and basil to the flour only because I think they go well with the chicken and I like the flavor.

    We cooked this on the side burner as a barbecue, too hot to do it in the house.
    Delicious and I will make it again.

    I haven't made fried chicken in forever! Good idea using the grill burner to keep the house cool. I have had my grill with a side burner on it for 2 years now and I never think to use it, I need to! This looks delicious, good looking plate of food :)

    Thank you Michelle,we use the side burner a lot, especially when cooking fish. Don’t like how fish makes the house smell.

    Looks delicious Manella! I've always been scared to try fried chicken at home. Great idea to use the side burner of the barbecue! This looks like a great recipe and I like that it shallow-fry's instead of deep frying.
