    Spicy Kofta Shish Kebab
Made for IMI2 August 2018 "Grill" challenge.

I thought these would be very spicy but they were not, just nicely seasoned and flavorful. I could not find Turkish Red Pepper and an internet search said to use Ancho Chili Powder so I did, next time I will also add some Cayenne Pepper. Could not find Ground Sumac either so used Lemon Zest. I did not skewer them, I shaped small oval patties and grilled. Also used ground beef.
Served with Tzatziki sauce, Naan bread, and a tossed salad.

These look delicious! Lemon zest is a great sub for the sumac. I put sumac on my fried eggs in the morning sometimes :) Again, beautiful picture!!

Fantastic photo! This is something I've always wanted to try. I'm too afraid DH wouldn't like this seasonings. He is funny about cumin. Sometimes he's o.k. with it, but most of the time he doesn't like it. Next time I'm at the spice store, I'm going to look for sumac. I've never heard of it.
