    The Canterbury Smoothie by thepiggs

I wanted to use the last of my cantaloupe in a smoothie, and was going to make this Hawaiian Smoothie. But I wanted something more filling since I was making this for breakfast, so looked for one with yogurt and canteloupe. Only two recipes showed up, this one I made and this ://Fruity Smoothie. I didn't have grapes so I made the Canterbury one.
It has raspberries, cantaloupe, banana, lemon juice and frozen yogurt. Instead of frozen yogurt I used regular vanilla yogurt. I used 3 individual vanilla yogurt pods, 113gr/4oz each, for the 2 scoops of frozen yogurt called for. The recipe says to use milk or ice to get the right consistency. I found it needed milk, so while the blender ran I drizzled enough milk in to get it moving. It turned out thick and creamy, and super delicious! I love the flavour combo and would absolutely make it again! I got two large smoothies out of this.

What a great find Shona, your photo is so lovely and I love the color of the smoothie.
Saved to try, as I do love a good smoothie.

We used to have smoothies all the time for breakfast but kind of got out of it. I need to start making them again, I am definitely getting tired of the same old breakfast everyday which is either granola with almond milk or bacon and eggs lol. Love the sound of this one, looks delicious Shona!

Thanks Manella, it's a good one and would be great with strawberries instead of raspberries too. :)
Thanks Michelle, lol, I am the same. I almost always eat granola with Greek yogurt, or it's hot oatmeal in the colder months. I was getting sick of oats so I made this! ;)
