    Black Bean And Pepper Spirals

    Fixed these up for a family gathering to celebrate Baby Sawyer's baptism. I made very few changes to the recipe as written. Most were in the black bean dip. I used lime juice for the acid in the dip instead of red wine vinegar and also added a teaspoon of dried sweet basil. The only other change was the use of a smaller tortilla so I made 8 instead of 4 but I think it all works out just the same. Pictures posted. Thanks again Chuckie and let me say you must pull that black bean dip out as a stand alone recipe it is fabulous.

    Just got the platter fixed up for the party. You have to cut the messy ends off so I got to sample them at last. Fresh, light and delightful. Perfect appetizers because they are satisfying but wouldn't over shadow any main dishes. Posted another picture of them on my Mexican serving dish. Very pretty.
