great idea's for the upcoming holidays or other events

  Hi,my name is Debbie and I am happy to have joined your group. I have a wonderful suggestion for the holidays or other occasions that you need to bring food to. I recently had a problem of how to transport Gumbo to bring to a family who just lost of member of their family. I didn't want them to have to worry about bringing me my bowl back so I used canning jars. It was such a great idea. I had individual serving jars that stayed hot for hours! IT was so easy to fill them and place them back in the box. I made two kinds of gumbo's so I had two cases of jars! They were so impressed and had something they could reuse later. This can be done for many soups, veggies, etc. Just thought I would share! Happy holidays to all!

  Thay is a great idea. We do both the family events here as I have the bigger house to fit everyone and I love to cook for everyone. I usually tell everyone, Bring you containers,baggies ect to bring home your leftovers.
