    Welcome

I wanted to make a group for pagans, witches and other magically inclined folks. I fall more in the last category. I’m hoping to meet and share recipes with some clever men and wise women and have a place for everyone to mingle.

    My introduction:
Most of my time is spent in the kitchen or in the garden. I’m working on a knot garden and a veggie garden this month, so I’m not going to be sharing many recipes for a little bit, but I will as soon as I get everything planted. I’m a wife and mother, enjoy working with herbs, aromas, and making soap. If your interested, our soap page is www.myspace.com/myfeycreations we are working on a web page, but our information is all up there for now.

I’m pretty open minded and welcome anyone who wishes no harm or negativity to the group.

Come introduce yourself, share, read, learn meet folks. Just enjoy.

I love kitchen magick recipes, but forgive my ignorance... what's a knot garden?

A knot garden by definition is: an intricately designed flower or herb garden with plants arranged to create an interlacing pattern, sometimes with fanciful topiary and carefully tended paths.

Mine is going to be a 8 pointed star-type shape with a boarder like hedge of other herbs around it, gravel between the "spokes" It looks easy in my head and on paper, I just hope I'm not getting in over my head. Depending on how many herbs I have that are annual, I may make it to where the 8 pointed star turns to a 5 pointed star at the end of the growing season. Still got lots of planing and ground breaking...which will start tomorrow! I'm excited.

By the way, thanks for joining :-) Nice to meet you.

Thank you for starting this group! I had already posted something that was magickal but didn't say so for fear of alienating others. I've inserted several of my favorite magickal recipes today, for the group's enjoyment.

My introduction: I'm a crone witch, of the Strega variety. I've been practicing my grandmother's ways since I was about 19 years old, and I'm now nearly 70! I have 6 children, only one of whom is also a witch. She gardens, I don't - yet. I'm studying the craft of gardening, and hope to begin very soon - all I need is some soil. I write Goddess psalms and rituals when I'm not in the kitchen. My favorite activity is feeding my sisters and brothers of the pathway.

    I'm glad to be here,

I'm glad your here. I'm excited to read all your recipes, which I will when I’m done here. I’m pleased with the response I’ve gotten starting this group. I was a little wary of it, but decided the kitchen witches and others should have a place to mingle, especially on a strictly food web page. I also figure, those who don‘t like the group, won‘t add it. What is your group? I’d be happy to join.

You have a nice size family. I’ve transformed from maiden to mother-of-one in a few short years and it’s amazing the cycle of it, how much having a child changes your life. You’ve been blessed with six!

It’s wonderful to have you and your recipes in the group. A real pleasure to meet you.

Tracie, my group is a Yahoo! group. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Magickal_Foods/
I'd love for you to come take a look, when you have the time. I remember what it was like having a little one around. Now I just have my grandbabies, and only three of them are actually babies! One's an adult and the other seven are "young adults" and tweens. Watching them grow and become who they are meant to be is my greatest joy.
