What's the difference????

I made this group so recipes could be posted for 2 different styles of Mexican food. Tex-Mex is food that is commonly found along the border and has been Americanized to suit those who didn't want all the heat of authentic Mexican foods. I hope that you will enjoy this group and the recipes found here.

Thanks for starting this group. I think the main difference between Tex-Mex and real Mexican food is the amount of cheese and meat. Tex-Mex uses more of each. Mexican, from my experience uses lard where as T-M uses oil.
