What food and /or lifestyle magazines do you all subscribe to? Are there publications you find are always consisent in what you like to make or inspire you? Tell me what mags are worth every cent or which ones in your opinion just miss the mark.

That one's easy!! In Ontario (Canada) we are fortunate to have access to our Liquor Control Board of Ontario's "Food & Drink" magazine, a fabulous food, drink, music, arts, etc. publication that comes out approx 8 times a year AND -- the best part is that it is free.

It's jam-packed with product and ingredient info, latest gadgets, newest of wines and liquors available.....TONS of recipes, all pictured in full-blown colour....How-To's...the list goes on and on!

I've been a big fan of this magazine for over 12 years now, since it first came out.

So, if you are lucky enough to have access to them, enjoy! And, BTW, you can get a sneak-peek (in a rather limited format, though) on the website....

    http://www.lcbo.com/entry.html

Just click your language preferance and then go to the top, under Food & Drink...

    Enjoy!

My favorite cooking magazine has got to be Cooking Light. Not only does is have healthy recipes, but it has delicious recipes and when I've made things from that magazine my family absolutely loves them. They don't feel deprived in anyway or feel the need to add to the food. The magazine also has all kinds of articles on cooking techniques that are really very well written with all kinds of great pics throughout. I read them cover to cover and save them all.

I LIke Taste of Home, and most Special Editions, usually by Southern Living, but, I have lots of different ones. Love some of the little Pilsbury and Betty Crocker books at the checkout...I pick them up every so often.

Food and Wine magazine is my fave. Also, Kraft has a free magazine they send in the mail every season called Food and Family. Also, Williams Sonoma catalog *not sure if this really counts, but I have it on my shelf anyway* has recipes in it as well.

But I sometime like to get the little mini recipe mags you see in the checkout aisle. I got a grilling one last week, and a Jello/Cool Whip one yesterday

I also like Cooking Light, very good recipes and you don't feel deprived. This from someone who always uses real butter! I also like Bon Appetite, very food oriented, you learn something with each issue. Gourmet, not so much, more life style and travel oriented. I've been getting Cooks Illustrated for quite awhile, but now it seems to repeat info from several years ago. I just started reading Fine Cooking and I really like it. I think it will replace Cooks Illustrated in my mail box. Cooks Country is good as well, more real world oriented.
Can you tell that my mailman hates me?

I just an offer for a new food magazine. Saveur. I'm not sure if it's a new mag on the shelf or what, but I sent the "Bill Me Later" card in the mail yesterday. So hopefully, I'll be able to tell y'all how I liked it.
