Herb Growing

Do you have any tips on getting herbs to grow, I have tried to grow them but I have killed every one I have planted... not a gardener at heart, but I love to cook with them and they are on the pricey side in the market. If you can help I would much appreciate it!

Need more info on how you proceed when trying to plant and grow the herbs.
I grow mine outside the back door in a raised bed amended 50/50 raw dirt and potting soil. You can probably use 100% potting soil if you are intending to grow them indoors on a window sill.
Frost kills, so bring them indoors if you are growing outdoors, during the winter nights. Deep water then let the soil dry out just a little before adding more water to promote deep root growth. Ensure your growing pots are well drained so as not to drown the plants.
Germinate seeds indoors in a seed starter soil (70 - 80) degrees. If you will be transferring them outside they will need to be hardened off before transplanting.
Do some research on companion planting. Some herbs to herbs and herbs to vegetables don't do well in proximity.
    What herbs are you planning?
