Monday's Mail

    Good Morning Everyone.

It's Monday morning and it's looking nice outside. It was overcast most all day yesterday and I thought it would be a nice day to take LD out for a walk in his stroller but the minute I got outside and started walking the sun came out and stayed out until I came back in. I cut the walk short because it was too hot with the sun. Got my office cleaned up instead.
Will go to the post office in a bit and mail out the box of bunny biscuits. I did an estimate yesterday of the cost and it should be about $50 via the postal service. UPS and FedEx were about $10-14 more.
Gym this afternoon. I never did grill the chicken yesterday so I will tonight for dinner. I pulled out turkey in gravy and heated that up for dinner instead because it was quick and easy. Late afternoon yesterday I got tired and took a nap instead.

Ugh on the heat, Linda. I imagine you will breathe a sigh of relief when the bunny biscuits are mailed. Bella will miss her job as taste tester!

It is 44 F here and going to be a cool day. Have a mammogram scheduled today and will be leaving soon for that. They are doing a more detailed one this time.

It is about time to get dressed and get going. See you later.

    Good Morning!

The Begging Bunny Biscuits are ah-dorbs Linda! That's quite reasonable really, to mail off all those items. I was envisioning over $100 in postage. So you had Turkey and gravy for a Canadian Thanksgiving yesterday too. :) Grilled chicken for tonight sounds great. Nice that the sun is out.

Good luck with your appointment Karen! Glad you made it to Church in time yesterday despite the fact your alarm didn't go off.

It's a rainy, cloudy Thanksgiving Monday on our end. The girls are outside feeding the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. They went on a walk in the woods before breakfast and saw four deer up close. One stamped at them. LOL. They've had a wonderful time.

I made Fried eggs and peameal bacon with toast for breakfast. Just serving Turkey leftovers for lunch and they'll head back to Montreal this afternoon. It's been a whirlwind just getting home from Rainy River, trying to get the house decorated for fall and back in shape, cleaning and mowing, and then entertaining this weekend. I'm looking forward to this coming week just to pause for a bit and plan some meals and things to do. Love this time of year.

Yes Michelle, I'll put the green tomatoes up in the window sill in the kitchen to see if they'll ripen but more often than not they seem to rot. How did the tournament go and did your allergies manage to stay at bay?

My appy lunch and Thanksgiving Dinner went well. As part of appy's I had three different types of cheese, Walnut Gouda (it wasn't very flavourful, I was disappointed), 4 yr. old Balderson cheddar and some Orange cheddar. Crackers, three types, cream cheese and hot pepper jelly, Nudja (spreadable salami), figs, that lovely Flax seed Sourdough bread, hummus, Sweet Chile Pistachios, and a shrimp ring,

I didn't end up making the Pear and Pecan salad but I had the Leek and sage Croustade as well as roasted beets with balsamic vinegar and some steamed carrots. Everyone had a ton to eat and were very complimentary. Apple Crisp with whipped cream for dessert. The turkey turned out perfectly. It was a great meal.

Good Luck today Karen. Hope your mamo comes back 'picture perfect'.

I chuckled to myself yesterday Janet when I was heating up my turkey knowing it was Thanksgiving in Canada. I even baked myself a sweet potato but it was a purple one and I really liked it. Not as sweet as the orange ones and a little dryer but a beautiful brilliant purple. Your feast sounded wonderful from the appetizers to the meal. I'm sure with all that food the salad was not missed and perhaps you and Jim can enjoy it another time when there is not so much other food. Your Autumn pics on FB are beautiful, I especially liked 'Rabbit Corner' (LOL!).

Our guests just pulled out. The girls were almost in tears. They didn't want to leave. :) Awwwww.....so sweet. Lunch was yummy. Jim and I have a Sens Hockey Game on so we will curl up in front of the fire and watch that. Jim's going to go out for a walk first as he's stuffed. I hurt my wrist somehow yesterday. Noticed when I picked up the big pot of potatoes that my right wrist couldn't hold it without hurting. It's a wee bit better today but I do feel injured. I'm quite content to relax and sit back.

I always crave Turkey on American Thanksgiving when I hear you guys prepping for it Linda, so it's only appropo. :) We really did have a wonderful Holiday celebration and the weather and the leaves certainly added to the enjoyment. Those trails are a five minute drive from our place behind the High School that Benjamin used to attend. They're really well done and yes.....I knew you'd like the Rabbit Corner sign. LOL. :)

Back from the gym and a stop at the grocery store and the chicken is prepped and ready for the grill. I have 1/2 the pack of chicken left that I'll do something different with it tomorrow night. Costco puts 3 BLSL breast in each pack and since I butterfly them it's like I get 6 pieces of chicken.

Awww, that is sweet the girls didn't want to leave and so nice that they enjoy their time with you. How far away do they live? Maybe you slept bending your wrist, sometimes I do that and it'll be achy the next day.
Rest for sure is well deserved … that and a big drink, something yummy to munch on, and to kick back and take it easy.

Linda, the girls live in Montreal, which is about a 2 and a half hour drive from our place. They'll be home by now and over at their Grandma's who invited them to come for Greek Take Out tonight. :)

We have so many leftovers in the fridge. I told Jim just to help himself to whatever he wants. No cooking for me this evening.

Mammo went well. In the words of the radiologist who read it, it was “fantastic.” I am all set until six months when they check the left one again.
