Good Morning Everyone!!! It's SOOOOO hot and humid already!!!!! WHINEEEEEEE! Lord help me! LOLOLOLOL! It is 25.5C/77.9F inside already and it's going up to 33C/91F this afternoon outside. We slept down in the basement last night and undoubtedly will tonight as well. But....good news....we got 19mm of rain overnight, a big thunder and lightening storm so the grass, plants, trees, and animals are Happyyyyyy! Thank heavens!

I am going to make a Taco Salad for dinner tonight as Karen had me craving one recently!

We haven't decided what we're up to today but we're contemplating going to the Cheshire Cat for lunch on their patio.

How fun that you are having your friends over on the weekend for a fondue Kimmer! And SOOO awesome you get to have a visit with Michael soon! Whoop! This will be the first time you'll meet Wyatt's Mom in person. Cool! That's so lovely that she sends you pictures of Wyatt on a weekly basis! I checked out the link to the resort you're going to stay at. It's beautiful! I'd prefer to stay somewhere else as well simply because I can leave if I want to and when I want to and I'd sleep a lot better, not have to share washrooms, etc. Who will watch Chloe? Or I guess maybe the boys aren't going! Lots of awesome things to look forward to! Really happy for you!

It's already hot here too Janet and I don't see it changing for us anytime soon.

Had to have the pest guy come out this morning to check things over. We found a carpenter ant in the master bath last week and to be on the safe side I thought it best to have them inspect. I was opening it came in thru the fan vent and it probably did because there is not other activity to note.
Will go to Costco later today. Never did make it yesterday.
No clue about dinner but am thinking Bison burgers since we are going to Costco and I can pick up a package there and not have to thaw one.

The fawns are adorable Janet! So much fun to have them romping around the yard. A taco salad does sound good, I've been wanting one too since Karen mention it. Yikes on poison ivy showing up as an STD when blood is tested. Never seen or heard of Cream of Bacon soup. I would simmer pork chops in it but would taste the soup first to make sure it wasn't funky tasting. Glad you got rain.

Glad you got some rain too Karen. Yikes on the snake stealing chicken eggs but glad you caught him. How did you catch him? in a trap, by hand, and then how was he held till someone showed up to relocate him? Was he a big one?

Nice that you'll have friends over Kimmer and very nice to be getting away to see your son and grandson. The resort looks very nice and I too don't like staying in someone's house, I like my own bathroom and quiet space. Fingers crossed you can finalize your plans soon.

Well have a good shop at Costco Linda. At least it's cool there! :) Glad you didn't have an ant problem after all. We get ants from time to time too but can usually take care of them ourselves and they do come in through the bathroom vents sometimes too even though we put screening in.

Jim and I had breakfast out on the back deck. Nice.

Costco was pleasant. Not many people there and we got everything we went for and more. Picked up a fresh pineapple, nut clusters, nuts, for fun … the rest of the stuff is boring. Oh and a big package of garlic which better be good, LOL! Decided to start making salmon again and got that too. I lost my taste for it but hoping it's come back.

It's just too hot to do much more of anything else today.

That's awesome you have a quarterly Pest Control service Linda and by all means, you might as well take advantage of it! Also great that Costco wasn't busy and you got some fun stuff. The Premade Butter Chicken we bought was nice and the price was great as you got a ton, but it was too sweet for us. I will however freeze the remainder in two batches and try it on a Butter Chicken pizza as I think that might work nicely.

We ended up at the Hardware store and got a bunch of things we needed. Saw our neighbours in the parking lot and had a nice visit with them and we also went in to my girlfriend's flower shop and had a catch up with her and her daughter. While there I bought myself a nice little bouquet of flowers including these super cool spider Gerberas. They're stunning!

We then decided to go for lunch at 'The Swan at Carp' as they have a very pretty outdoor patio. We were the only ones there at 2:30 so that was a bonus. We both had fish n' Chips which was good but not great.

Went for a hot tub and now we're watching the news. It was a nice day but still stinking hot out there.

Good evening and hello to all. Typical hot day here for us. A bit bummed as Michael has still not received clearance to leave, which worries me. Don't know if they have asked him questions (he cant say what questions they ask) about who he is meeting but if they do...........well with the exception of Wyatt and Amber, we are all from Florida :( So I am preparing myself that this probably won't happen. Don't get me wrong, still forging thru and planning but there is this big dark cloud over it all. Even though our death count is down, our cases are up. Only because everyone and their brother are getting tested even with no symptoms. So many people are asymptomatic. Aw well, if not this time............will plan for another. Just makes it hard when you have to book things out of town.

Did some baked chic breast with some mashed potatoes and salad here tonight.

Sorry, I'm a bit depressed tonight. We have to take the highs and lows...........right!
