  • browneyegirl 10 years ago
It's that time of year where people are going to be brewen up some tea or even sun tea.How many of you like sugar and or sweetner in there tea?Myself.I like to use sweetener.I used to LOVE useing sugar. When I was pregant with my daughter that's when I started using sweetner. When I was about 5 to 6 months along with my daugter something about the sugar didn't agree with me at all. That's when I started using sweetner.

How do you like your tea?

Iced tea - I drink it plain. Nothing in it. For hot tea, I prefer sugar but if my pants are a bit tight, I will use sweetener. :)

I love my hot steeped tea and I always drink it with a bit of honey and a tad of milk. Iced tea isn't usually a Canadian thing. We never see on Menus and such. I know they sell mixes and canned drinks here though. The only time I have ever had good Iced Tea was in MO and it was with sugar and lemon in it.

Only time that I like hot tea is when I am sick and add a little bit of honey.Okay.I didn't know that it's like that as an Canadian thing. Here in Missouri that there's can tea.I don't know about there where you are at.I like the Brisk Iced Tea in the bottle with the Lemon flavor when I'm out and see it.That's when I'll buy a 1 little bottle of the tea.

Since I have developed an allergy to Splenda and can't handle side effects of aspartame, my choices are sugar - honey - stevia. Stevia is healthier, a food supplement, not artificial. I seldom buy ready-made tea, but we do like the Lipton (not the diet version) honey-ginseng or citrus on occasion. Brisk, Nestea, and Lipton are allavailable locally (we live in MO.) I usually brew up a batcjh of sun tea and add whatever sounds good at the time. Good4U : hot tea with honey and lemon is my winter drink, for sure!
