Hello! Need advice on having a holiday meal on a budget???

Hi! I need to feed 6 people, consider that atleast 4 may get second helpings. So, I estimate 12 servings to be on the safe side. The meal should consist of chicken, a vegetarian entree, bread, dessert, beverage, and two side dishes (vegetarian friendly). Can anyone help me out? The budget is $50.

It also depends on how many are vegetarian. If half the group is, then you could get away with roasting 1 whole chicken. If less than you'll probally need 2 whole chickens or maybe a turkey breast
    My Lemon-herb roast chicken

    Is very festive.
One side dish could be homemade scallop potates

is cheap and easy to make.
That would be a good start for a holiday meal.
