Hi, I hope you will enjoy this group!

And please take the time to say hi! :)

My own self, I read a lot of scifi and some fantasy. The biggest scifi part of my life is related to Joss Whedon's "Firefly" television show and "Serenity" movie. I published a collaborative cookbook based on Joss' 'Verse which has done pretty gorramn well. I have some recipes here as examples of the type of stuff that was in it.

But I read a lot of books outside of "Firefly." My number one author is Charles de Lint. :)

I have always been a big fan of Sci/fi and fantasy.
Robert Heinlein, Terry Pratchett (so funny), Stephen King #1, I believe his Dark Tower series qualifies.

I saw the movie Serenity was on HBO last week and was gonna watch then realized it was already half way through and I like to see movies from the beginning. I though about you when I saw it.

I'm not a Sci/Fi fan, but on occasion when we had the channel, I would watch Star Gate & Dresden Files with him.

What a great idea for a group! I'm glad to be here and think I'll go wander around the hallways while I get used to this place.

Authors? Tad Williams: OtherLand series/ Pratchett / Robert Jordan/ Melanie Rawn... I could just go on and on.
Shows? Movies? Heroes/ The Office/ Firefly (Oh, why did I have to discover this after it had been canceled?!) / BSG (Have yet to see the 3rd season since we've been viewing them via NetFlix.) / ect. ect. ect. :D
