Sherbet - not a type of icecream

  I love sherbet - I remember we use to have it at home with a tall glass of water. It is so difficult to make, though. I have an old recipe, I will post it, however, it seems that you have to take it from the stove top at the right moment and I always make mistakes with this. Any help?
