Ingredients
  • 2 (1 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/3 c butter
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
  • 2/3 c white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c pecan halves
  • 1 c light corn syrup
  • 3 eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Step #2 Heat butter & chocolate over low heat/flame, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted; cool slightly.
  • Step #3 With hand beater, sugar, salt, beat eggs, chocolate mixture & corn syrup.
  • Step #4 Stir in pecans & pour mixture into pie shell.
  • Step #5 Bake until set, 40 to 50 mins.
  • Step #6 Cool slightly.
  • Step #7 Serve warm, or put in the fridge & serve this with nondairy whipped topping.
