Grilled Crostini With Olive Tapenade Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  •  Garnish: green onion strips
  • 1 (7-oz) container olive tapenade
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 (12-oz) French bread baguette
  • 1/4 c sliced green onions
  • 3 tbsps olive oil
  • 1 tbsp sliced flat-leaf parsley

Directions
  • Step #1 Slice bread into 24 (1/2-inch-thick) slices, discarding ends.
  • Step #2 Whisk together olive oil & next 3 ingredients.
  • Step #3 Brush evenly on one cut side of each bread slice.
  • Step #4 Grill bread slices over med-heat/flame (300° to 350°) 2 to 3 mins on each side.
  • Step #5 Stir together olive tapenade & parsley; garnish, if desired.
  • Step #6 Place green onion slices in a small bowl.
  • Step #7 Serve tapenade & green onions with bread.
  • Step #8 Note: For testing purposes only, we used Cantaré Olive Tapénade, which can be found in the deli section of large supermarkets.
