Thai Pork With Garlic & Pepper (moo Tod Kratiem Prik Thai) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c coriander root (finely sliced) .
  • 2 tbsps garlic (finely sliced) .
  • 1 tsp white pepper .
  • cooking oil (for deep frying) .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 lb boneless pork chops or pork loin (Sliced into 1/8-inch thick strips) .
  • 3-4 green lettuce leaves (for garnish)

Directions
  • Step #1 Grind the garlic & coriander root in a mortar or mixer.
  • Step #2 If using mixer, add just enough oil to aid in the grinding.
  • Step #3 Spread the garlic & coriander root mixture together with salt & ground white pepper over the pork & marinate them about 2 hrs at about room temp or overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Step #4 In a wok, heat oil on a high heat.
  • Step #5 Deep-fry the pork about 5 mins until they are cooked or become golden brown.
  • Step #6 Place the pork over lettuce leaves on a plate & serve this with rice.
