Chocolate Peanut Butter Wacky Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 c butter, softened
  • 2 c white sugar
  • 10 tbsps butter, melted
  • 2 tsps baking soda
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 2 c warm water
  • 3 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c peanut butter
  • 6 tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsps distilled white vinegar

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large bowl, baking soda, salt, sift together the flour, cocoa, & white sugar.
  • Step #2 To the sifted ingredients, add the 10 tbsps butter or margarine, vinegar, & warm water.
  • Step #3 Mix thoroughly, but do not beat.
  • Step #4 Pour batter into ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Step #5 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)for 30 to 35 mins.
  • Step #6 Remove cake from oven, but keep it in the pan.
  • Step #7 Cream together peanut butter, milk, brown sugar, & 1/4 c butter or margarine.
  • Step #8 Spread icing onto cake.
  • Step #9 Place under broiler until brown & bubbly.
