Layered Lemon Dessert Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c Broccoli flowerettes -
  • 1/4 c Crisp crumbled bacon
  • 1/2 c Sliced radishes
  • 1/4 ts Garlic powder
  • 2 ts Sugar
  • 2 md Tomatoes; cut into wedges
  • 1/4 c Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Stalks celery; sliced
  • Parsley for garnish
  • 1 1/2 c Sliced Oregon hazelnuts
  • 2 c Mayonnaise
  • 1 tb Lemon juice
  • 1/2 c Sliced green onions
  • 4 c Mixed salad greens -
  • 1 1/2 c Small shell macaroni

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook macaroni as directed on package, drain; rinse with cold water and drain.
  • Step #2 stir this together macaroni, onions & hazelnuts in a bowl.
  • Step #3 Mix together mayonnaise, cheese, sugar, garlic & lemon juice.
  • Step #4 In a 9x13x2" pan or a 4-quart serving dish, layer the salad greens in the bottom of the dish.
  • Step #5 Cover greens with the macaroni-hazelnut mixture.
  • Step #6 On top of this, place the celery, then a layer of radishes & top with broccoli flowerettes.
  • Step #7 Spread mayonnaise mixture over broccoli.
  • Step #8 Chill for 2 to 24 hrs.
  • Step #9 top this with bacon, tomato wedges & parsley, just before serving.
  • Step #10 Yield: 8 to 12 servings.
