How to make it

  • In large bowl combine powdered sugar, butter and vanilla then beat until light and fluffy.
  • Add flour, walnuts, cinnamon and salt then mix well.
  • Shape dough into 1" balls then place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 325 for 15 minutes or until set but not brown.
  • Immediately remove from cookie sheets and cool 3 minutes or until slightly cooled.
  • Meanwhile in a small bowl mix coating ingredients together then roll warm cookies in coating.

    These are really yummy! I cooked them a few minutes longer and they came out a little dry so I will try them again at the correct bake time and report back! More in the I Made It II Group ------------->Cinnamon Tea Cakes

    I made this recipe with pecans and it is now my favorite Christmas cookie. They are very simple to make. They also are a more attractive cookie for fancy occasions.
