IRIE JAMAICAN JERK MARINADE

- 3 scotish bonnets (hot caribbean peppers) shopping list
- 4 tablespoons whole jamaican allspice (pimentos) shopping list
- 2 onion peeled and quartered shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic peeled shopping list
- 1 bunch fresh thyme shopping list
- 4 sprigs parsley shopping list
- juice of 1 lime shopping list
- juice of 1/2 orange shopping list
- 1 bunch of scallion trimmed and cut to be easily blended shopping list
- 10 whole cloves shopping list
- 3-4 pieces peeled ginger shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinammon shopping list
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 CUP LIGHT SOYSAUCE shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cider or white vinegar shopping list
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil shopping list
How to make it
- please wear surgical gloves and avoid touching skin or eyes.
- in a large blender or cusinart, put in onions,garlic,hot peppers
- lime and orange juice. whiz in blender till smooth. about 1-2 minutes
- add thyme,parsely,ginger,scallion and run blender again add the rest of the ingredient one by one. pour in oil as last item
- run blender till all ingredients are smoothly blended.
- :
- pour all contents in a large glass jar. cover tight with a lid. place in ridge and use one needed. will keep for months

I am going to have to make this. I am always buying Jerk seasoning. How much does this make? A cup... I would like enough to do 2 chickens.

I made this recipe. It is a wonderful blend of spices and vegetables. It makes about 6 - 8 cups. I used large onions. I've been looking for this marinade for years. It is awesome.
