Chick Pea Delight

- 2-16oz cans Chick pea (Garbanzo bean) shopping list
- 1 lbs-smoked sausage or kielbasa shopping list
- 1/2-green bell pepper shopping list
- 1/2-red bell pepper shopping list
- 1/2-yellow bell pepper shopping list
- 1-lrg sweet onion shopping list
- 3-green onion shopping list
- 4-clove garlic shopping list
- 1-cup vegetable or chicken stock shopping list
- 1-tsp canola oil shopping list
- 1-tsp liquid smoke shopping list
- 1/8- tsp cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1/2-tsp black ground pepper shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Drain liquid off chick peas
- Dice 1/2 inch-sausage peppers and sweet onion
- Slice green onion and garlic
- Heat a large deep skillet on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes, then add the oil.
- Add the onion and a pinch of salt.
- Saute the onion til almost clear and add the sausage.
- Sausage is likely pre cooked heat for 5 min and add green onion
- garlic and first can of chick peas. Heat for another 5 to 7 minutes.
- Add bell peppers vegetable stock liquid smoke and cayenne.
- Reduce heat and simmer till stock is reduced 10 to 15 minutes.
- Add last can of chick peas and ground pepper heat 5-7 minutes.
- Second can of chick peas provides a variation of texture.
- Serve
