Dilly Peas

- 5 pound fresh peas shopping list
- 4 scallions shopping list
- 1-1/4 cups oil shopping list
- 1-1/2 pounds fresh tomatoes peeled shopping list
- 3 tablespoons chopped dill shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Shell wash and drain peas then chop white part of the scallions into small pieces.
- Chop green part of scallions into large pieces then heat oil in large pot.
- Add scallions and cook until soft but not browned.
- Add peas and brown very lightly then add tomatoes, dill, salt and pepper.
- Add enough water to half cover the peas then cover pot.
- Cook over medium heat for 45 minutes.
