How to make it

  • Shell wash and drain peas then chop white part of the scallions into small pieces.
  • Chop green part of scallions into large pieces then heat oil in large pot.
  • Add scallions and cook until soft but not browned.
  • Add peas and brown very lightly then add tomatoes, dill, salt and pepper.
  • Add enough water to half cover the peas then cover pot.
  • Cook over medium heat for 45 minutes.
