Broiled Shrimp

- 32 large shrimp (we use the easy peel frozen and peel before cooking) shopping list
- marinade shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic paste or 1/2 tsp garlic powder or 3 cloves of minced garlic shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 c cooking sherry shopping list
- a pinch of thyme and a pinch of rosemary shopping list
- a couple of shakes of cayenne (start with 1 if you don't like them peppery) shopping list
- 2 sticks of butter cut into small cubes shopping list
How to make it
- Pre heat the oven to broil
- Mix the marinade together and place in a gallon plastic freezer bag, add the shrimp and seal.
- Marinate in the fridge for at least an hour
- Place the shrimp in a glass pyrex lasagne pan
- Dot with butter pieces and shake a lot of black pepper and a bit of cayenne on the shrimp
- Broil until the shrimp curls into a "C" (usually about 2 minutes each side if that).
- Place the pyrex dish on the table and serve with a side of pasta or with a loaf of italian bread and dunk to your hearts content or pour the entire thing over the hot pasta.
- Grilling: we recently purchased a George Foreman grill and used it to grill the shrimp.
- Place shrimp on bamboo skewers (about six each).
- Place the skewers (4 at a time) on the grill, close the top and grill for about 3 minutes on high - then eat!
