- 1/2 Cup golden raisins shopping list
- 2/3 Cup bourbon shopping list
- 1 Cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 Cup water shopping list
- 8 Squares unsweetened chocolate shopping list
- 3/4 Cup butter,room temperature shopping list
- 6 Fresh eggs,separated shopping list
- 1 Cup almonds,blanched,ground shopping list
- 1/2 Cup flour shopping list
- powdered sugar shopping list
- whipped cream shopping list
How to make it
- Pour bourbon over raisins,set aside.
- Mix sugar and water in pan,bring to boil.
- Add chocolate,stir until melted,remove from heat,but,keep warm.
- In bowl,beat butter and egg yolks,one at a time,until light and fluffly.
- With mixer still running,add half of the chocolate mixture,then half of the almonds,repeat.
- Add the bourbon soaked raisins,beat in flour.
- Beat egg whites until stiff,fold into batter.
- Turn into a 9" buttered and floured springform pan.
- Bake in a 375 degree overn for 30 minutes (or) until top is firm.
- Cool,about 5 minutes,turn out onto cake plate,dust with powdered sugar.
- Slice thin,serve with bourbon flavored whipped cream.
