How to make it

  • preheat oven to 300 degrees f.
  • soak rice overnight
  • boil the milk until reduced by half
  • mix the mango puree, the cream and boiled milk in a bowl
  • then add the sugar saffron and rose water.............
  • boil the rice until very soft
  • in a deep dish baking pan .....
  • put a layer of the rice..........
  • then top with a layer of mango puree
  • repeat one more layer.........
  • dot with small chunks of butter on top
  • and place in the oven
  • cook until set......... or lightly browned approx 15 to 20 minutes
