A moist chocolate spiced molasses cookie. Great with a glass of milk.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup lite or dark molasses
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flower
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Cream shortening and sugar
  2. Add molasses
  3. Add eggs, one at a time beat well after each
  4. Combine dry ingredients, spices and add to batter mix lightly
  5. stir in chocolate
  6. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheat
  7. Bake at 350 for 10 -12 min.
