Ingredients

for the dough

3 3/4 flour

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp sugar

3/4 pounds of cold butter or 3 sticks cut in small pe

3/4 c cold water ice water

the filling

3 pounds apple

2 tbp lemon juice

1/4 c sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/8 tsp salt less than 1/4 tsp

1 tbp butter cut in to small peacies

3 tbp flour

the egg brush

1 large egg yolk

1 tbp heavy cream or milk

Directions

in food proess put the flour and butter ,salt,sugar mix unil combend

add the ice cold water mix less than two minutes ,cut the dough in to half and rap it with plastic and flat the dough out and refg for 1hour and half same with the other one .

slice the apples and add all of the ingred with the apples and roll the dough out with flour and in to pan and then add the filling then add the butter then add the other dough on top of the fillinf and make a few cuts in the middle .

brush the egg wash on top of pie and refeg for 30 minutes

bake 400 for 10-15 minutes then 350 for 40

cool and slices and servie
