Plum Fried Pies

- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 8 plums peeled seeded and sliced shopping list
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice shopping list
- 8 piece container refrigerated flaky biscuit dough shopping list
How to make it
- Add butter to a large sauté pan and melt.
- Add plums, sugar, ground cinnamon and lemon juice then cook over medium heat 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cool.
- Roll biscuits out on lightly floured surface so that each biscuit forms a circle.
- Place 3 tablespoons of the filling on 1/2 of each circle then brush edges of circle with water.
- Fold circle over filling to make a half moon shape then seal by pressing edges with tines of fork.
- Heat fryer half filled with oil to 350 then carefully add pies 1 at a time and fry until brown.
- Turn pies often for even browning then drain on paper towels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
