This an easy jelly great to give as a gift

Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 C Red Zinfandel
  • 1/2 C. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 2oz. packages of pectin
  • 4 1/2 C. sugar

Directions
  1. Combine zin,lemon juice. and pectin in a large pot bring to a boil stirring frequently
  2. add sugar return to boil stir to disolve
  3. boil hard for 1 minute stirring constantly
  4. remove from heat skim if necessary
  5. laddle into 1/2 pint jars leaving a 1/2 in. head space tighten lids and process 5 minutes in a boiling water bath.
  6. for gifts try ladeling hot jelly into wine glasses and sealing with parafin
  7. Enjoy
