Pesto Pinwheels Recipe
Rather than a traditional basil pesto, try using a white pesto or a sun-dried tomato pesto. They are all great.

Ingredients
  • 1 (17 1/2 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup pesto (any flavor you like!)
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Roll each sheet of puff pastry on a very lightly floured surface into a 14x10 inch rectangle.
  3. Spread each sheet with 1/2 cup pesto to within 1/2 inch of edges.
  4. Starting at 10 inch side, roll up pastry jelly-roll fashion.
  5. Brush edge of pasty with beaten egg to pinch into roll and seal.
  6. Cut into 1/2 inch thick slices.
  7. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature.
