How to make it

  • Lightly brown pork steaks in butter in fry pan. Sprinkle with salt. Add 1/2 cup orange juice. Cover and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.
  • Spoon pie filling over steaks. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Add 1/2 cup orange juice; cover and cook over low heat until tender, about 20 minutes.
  • VARIATION: Substitute cherry pie filling in this recipe. Pork chops may be used in place of pork steaks

    HA! Saw this and KNEW you had to be from the area. :-) I'm just outside of St.L - most of the world scoffs at our love for pork steaks. That's OK, more for us, right? :-)
