Polish Luau Recipe
A feast in a 5 gallon pot. Sausage and veggies steam with beer creates an entire meal. Great for picnics, or tailgating. Easy to make with turkey frying kit.

Ingredients
  • 12 ears of sweet corn, husk and silk removed
  • 3-4 pounds of red skin potatoes, smaller is better
  • 1 bag of baby carrots
  • 2 turnips, cut into 1" pieces
  • 2-3 zucchini(or summer squash) cut 1 1/2" thick
  • 1 head of cauliflower, broken into large florets
  • 1 head broccoli, broken as above
  • 4 medium onions(your choice), quartered
  • 1 medium head green cabbage, cored and rough cut
  • 12-16 sausages(brats) or 3-4 rings of kielbasa/summer sausage
  • 18 can of beer(I prefer not to use light beer)

Directions
  1. Clean and cut vegetables.
  2. Layer in pot as listed.
  3. Top with sausage.
  4. Pour in all the beer, buy more for drinking!!
  5. Clamp lid with spring clamps(look like clothes-line pins).
  6. Lid should have small hole-1/2".
  7. Set flame of burner at medium high.
  8. Set pot on burner.
  9. Usually you will see steam escaping the hole at 15 minutes.
  10. At that time, set your timer for 50 minutes.
  11. After 50 minutes all is cooked.
  12. Sausage may be grilled to brown.
  13. Drain fluids and serve.
