Onion and Bacon Tart

- 8 bacon slices,chopped shopping list
- 5 c sliced onions (about 3 large) shopping list
- 1 lg. egg shopping list
- 1/2 c sour cream shopping list
- 1 Tbs salt shopping list
- 1/2 tbs pepper shopping list
- pinch of ground nutmeg shopping list
- 1 13.8 oz. tube refrigerated pizza dough shopping list
- 1/4 tsp caraway seeds shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Saute bacon in heavy,large skillet over med-high heat until slightly crisp. Drain all but 1 tbss. bacon drippings from skillet. Add onions to bacon and saute over med. heat till onions are very tender but not brown,about 20 mins. Cool.
- Whisk egg,sour cream,salt,pepper,nutmeg in large bowl to blend. Stir in coled onion mixture
- Roll pizza dough out on lightly floured surface to 13x10" rectangle. Transfer to baking sheet. Spread onion mixture over dough,leaving 1/2" plain boarder around edges. Sprinkle with caraway seeds.
- Bake tart until onion custard is set and crust golden brown around edges and brownon bottom,about 25 mins.
