Creamy Tomato Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 peeled, seeded and diced tomatoes
  • 4 c. of tomato juice
  • 1 c. of heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 c. of butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 14 leaves fresh basil

Directions
  1. Fist you want to add the tomatoes and juice in a large pot over medium flame.
  2. Then let this simmer about 30 min.
  3. Next puree the mixture, with basil leaves.
  4. Add this back to the large pot.
  5. Now put the pot over medium flame, and add in the heavy cream and butter.
  6. You can add salt and pepper now.
  7. Ladle and serve!

This sounds delicious. I love tomato soup. I made fresh tomato soup a couple of years ago. I couldn't believe how good it was. I have not been able to eat it from a can since. I can't wait to try your recipe. I bet the fresh basil leaves and heavy cream (I used milk) make the dish. Thanks for the recipe!


Worked out well, didn't puree the mixture to make it a little more chunky.
