How to make it

  • Fist you want to add the tomatoes and juice in a large pot over medium flame.
  • Then let this simmer about 30 min.
  • Next puree the mixture, with basil leaves.
  • Add this back to the large pot.
  • Now put the pot over medium flame, and add in the heavy cream and butter.
  • You can add salt and pepper now.
  • Ladle and serve!

    This sounds delicious. I love tomato soup. I made fresh tomato soup a couple of years ago. I couldn't believe how good it was. I have not been able to eat it from a can since. I can't wait to try your recipe. I bet the fresh basil leaves and heavy cream (I used milk) make the dish. Thanks for the recipe!
