Salmon Teriyaki Rice Bowl

- 3/4 cup Daikon- Japanese radish julienned shopping list
- 2 tbs seasoned rice vinegar shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup soy sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup sake shopping list
- 4 slamon filets, center cut shopping list
- 1 cup multi-grain rice shopping list
- 2 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth shopping list
- 2 green onions thin sliced shopping list
- 1 tbs plus 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds shopping list
How to make it
- Toss radish with vinegar and set aside
- Make a teriyaki sauce by combining sugar, soy sauce and skae in a small bowl
- Place in sauce pan, stir and bring to a boil
- remove from heat and let cool
- Place salmon in a shallow baking dish and pour suace over filets
- Chill 1 hour
- Place broth in pan and add rice and bring to a boil, cover reduce heat to low and simmer about 40 minutes or rice is tender, liquid absorbed
- Remove from heat and let rest covered about 10 minutes
- Bake salmon in a 450F oven, spooning sauce over fillets at least twice
- Cook until firm about 10 to 12 minutes
- Fill bowls with rice, salmon and teriyaki sauce
- Top with the daikon and green onion
