Hot Spice Cider

A great alternative to coffee or tea. A comforting cup of apple cider, especially when fall is in the air.
Ingredients
- 3 (3inch) pieces stick cinnamon shopping list
- 2 teaspoon whole cloves shopping list
- 1 whole nutmeg (or 1/2 teaspoon ground) shopping list
- 1/2 gallon apple cider shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 cups orange juice shopping list
- 1/2 cup lemon juice shopping list
- 1/2 cup apple brandy (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Tie cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg in small pieces of cheese cloth. Add to cider and sugar in large saucepan and simmer 15 minutes. Remove spice bag. Stir in orange and lemon juices and heat just until bubbly hot. Pour into heated punch bowl. Add small orange slices studded with cloves for garnish.
