Guilt Free Open Face Burger

- 1 large red onion, sliced shopping list
- 1 lb lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 4 slices low fat swiss cheese shopping list
- swiss chard, kale or spinach leaves shopping list
- 2 tsp olive oil shopping list
- 4 3/4-inch-thick slices fresh bread or Texas toast, toasted shopping list
How to make it
- Add garlic, salt and pepper to ground beef and shape into 4 patties.
- Press one onion ring into the center of each patty and shape meat around onion until top of onion is flush with the surface of the meat patty.
- Grill until desired doness.
- Top with cheese and allow cheese to melt on patty.
- Lightly wilt leaves in pan with hot oil.
- To serve, place two leaves atop each bread slice. Top with a burger, onion side up.
