Meatloaf Pie

This is an alternative to traditional meat pies and meatloaf, I like to serve with fresh salad and corn on the cobb - just a little something different to spice up an ordinary weeknight dinner
Ingredients
- 1 recipe for a 9" double crust pie shopping list
- 1 lb ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 med onion finely chopped shopping list
- 1 clove garlic shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 package onion soup mix (I sift out the onions as I use fresh onion) shopping list
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce shopping list
- 2 tbsp ketchup shopping list
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 cup old cheddar cheese shredded shopping list
How to make it
- brown ground beef with fresh onion, garlic, salt and pepper
- once browned add BBQ sauce, ketchup, onion soup mix and worcestershire sauce
- place mixture into pie shell lined with pastry
- top with shredded cheddar cheese
- cover with pastry - be sure to slice top crust for venting
- bake at 350 F for 35-45 minutes or until pastry is golden brown
- let stand 5 minutes before slicing and serving
