Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with my own Lime Orange Sauce

- 20 large shrimp, peeled and deveined shopping list
- 10 slices of bacon shopping list

- preheat grill to medium shopping list
- wrap shrimp in a half piece bacon and secure with toothpicks shopping list
- Lightly oil grill grate and put shrimp on grill. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, turning once. the shrimp will be done with the bacon is cooked. shopping list
- Some variations: You can precook bacon half done and use smaller shrimp, to make this faster and easier. shopping list
- You can make a dipping sauce out of chipotles and honey mixing to your tastes. shopping list
- You can drizzle with honey and shake on cracked black pepper. shopping list
- Make a sauce with: shopping list
- 1/3 cup each soy sauce and rice vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 each brown sugar and white vinegar shopping list
- 3 tbs. hoisin sauce shopping list
- 1 glove garlic, crushed shopping list
- 2 tbs. peanut oil shopping list
- a good pinch of crushed hot red pepper. shopping list
- mix all ingredients and baste shrimp while cooking. This sauce works on chicken , pork and duck. shopping list
How to make it
- My favorite I created many years ago:
- Lime-Orange Sauce
- Mix 2 cups of orange juice with the juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger (go easy on the ginger add a little and then go from there it is powerful and doesn't take much for some people)
- 2 tbs. honey
- mix all together well
- serve this as a dipping sauce for the shrimp.
- this can also be used for a cooking sauce on salmon
