Blueberry Dream Fritters

Easy and delicious blueberry fritters. Recipe from an old cookbook.
Ingredients
- vegetable oil shopping list
- 1/2 c whipping cream shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 c self-rising flour shopping list
- 1 c self-rising cornmeal shopping list
- 1/3 c sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 c fresh blueberries shopping list
- powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Heat 2"of oil in a large heavy skillet to 375 degrees on deep-fat thermometer.
- Meanwhile,combine cream,egg and vanilla in small bowl.
- Combine flour,cornmeal and sugar in large bowl. Stir in cream mixture just till moistened. Fold in blueberries.
- Carefully drop batter by heaping tablespoonfuls into hot oil.
- Fry till golden brown,turning once. Drain well on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar;serve immediately.
