This isn't your average sandwich; this is Dragon's grilled ham and cheese sandwich. This simple sandwich can be made with any type of ham or cheese. I usually just use what I have on hand but my favourite combination is prosciutto and an old sharp cheddar. Read more From: Dragon's Kitchen See less
Ingredients
- INGREDIENTS: shopping list
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise shopping list
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 2 slices of sourdough bread shopping list
- 2 slices of prosciutto shopping list
- 2 slices old sharp cheddar shopping list
- 2 thin slices of tomato shopping list
- cracked black pepper to taste shopping list
- 6 fresh basil leaves shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
How to make it
- Directions:
- In small bowl combine mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese and mix well. Spread on one side of each piece of bread.
- Make sandwiches with the coated bread by layering cheese, prosciutto, tomato slices, pepper and basil leaves.
- Spread soften butter on the outside of the bread slices.
- Grill sandwich on panini grill or griddle until toasted and crisp.
