How to make it

  • Heat 1 tbsp butter on medium heat in a pot.
  • Stir in shallots, garlic, thyme, tarragon and rosemary.
  • Saute for 2 minutes or until shallots soften.
  • Add bourbon and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce to about 2 tbsp (aprox 5 minutes).
  • Add stock and bring to a boil.
  • Simmer 15-20 minutes or until reduced to half a cup.
  • Swirl in 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar.
  • Season with salt & pepper and turn off heat.
  • Add butter.
  • when completely melted and mixed thoroughly and remaining balsamic vinegar.
  • Drizzle over steak.
