Macaroni And Cheese For A Bunch Recipe
From Taste of Home Church suppers cookbook. The recipe is yummy and basic and one can add and spice recipe as they see fit ( ex add, some kernal corn, crumbled bacon, garlic, cumin or chipolte powder to taste etc, etc )

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 lbs elbow macaroni
  • 1 1/4 cups butter divided
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 quarts milk
  • 3 lbs sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 1/2 cup dried bread crumbs

Directions
  1. Cook macaroni and drian well
  2. In a soup kettle melt 1 cup butter
  3. Stir in flour and and salt and stir smooth,
  4. gradually stir in milk,.
  5. Bring to a boil, cooking and stirring about 2 minutes until thickened and then reduce heat
  6. Add cheese, stirring to melt
  7. Add drained macaroni to sauce
  8. Divide into 3, 9 x 13 pans
  9. Melt remaining butter and toss with bread crumbs
  10. Sprinkle over pans
  11. Bake uncovered 350F 35 to 40 minutes or golden brown on top
