Red Chile Paste Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 Dried Red Chili Pepper, anchos or New Mexico
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbs Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 2 cups Sourdough Bread, torn

Directions
  1. Boil red chili peppers in water 15 minutes. Remove stems and chop. For more heat, leave the seeds in.
  2. In a blender, combine chili peppers, red bell pepper, garlic, oregano, paprika, cumin and salt. Chop for 30 seconds.
  3. After all is chopped, add vinegar and olive oil. Blend while adding bread pieces.
  4. This can be served on grilled corn or on a cracker.

Now that's a cool idea. have you ever used it for stuffing?


I'm making this tomorrow and I'll let you know how the stuffing turned out.


This was awesome. The stuffing was so-so but on crackers and cheese it was incredible. I'm going to do a stuffing again but with the addition of homeade chourico mixed in with it. Awesome recipe!
